Cornelia Hale is 14 year old, and the second-oldest of the group. She attends Heatherfield Institute with the other girls. She is a competitive ice-skater and has won numerous medals for her skills displayed in the sport. She has a cat named Napoleon, and a younger sister named Lilian who is somewhat of a pain in the neck. She is about 5.3' and has long blonde hair, and crystal blue eyes.
Personality
Cornelia is somewhat a materialistic person, who cares a lot about her looks, and what boys think about her. In fact, in one episode, when the Heart has excess power, Cornelia didn't come down from her guardian state, and used her height to impress a high school boy. Cornelia is also overconfident and thinks she can do just about anything by herself. Still she is deep down a considerate person who can be very romantic. She is not always the most positive person, but manages to get through obstacles with an attitude.
Relationships
Before being friends with and apart of WITCH Cornelia was best friends with Elyon Brown first, and friends with also Hay Lin, Tarannee, and Irma. When Will came to town she wasn't the most open to her being apart of the group, but through trials of the guardians and friendship, she proved that she had become best friends with Will and the others, without alienating Elyon, even though she sometimes was left out. Cornelia is a very flirty girl, and likes any cute boy she can get her hand on, but her true feelings are with Caleb, the rebellion leader from Meridian. Her best friend within W.I.T.C.H. is considered Taranee.
Cornelia Hale is the guardian of earth. At first she thought her powers were lame because she could only grow plants, but she quickly discovered her powers were much more important than that, and learned how to landscape by putting her hand to the ground, make vines and plants grow at will, command plant-life and sometimes hear and talk to them as she later learned in season 2 from the former earth guardian.
Besides Caleb, after they were separated, she had a small crush on Taranee's brother Peter.
Advanced Element Abilities
After the veil was lowered, the guardians source of power had no choice but to retreat to the heart of Candracar, influencing the powers of all the guardians including Cornelia. In the beginning her powers went haywire from all the new power but she began to take control of it and even learned she had a power of telekinesis and was able to move things with her mind.
Magical Family Members or Friends
Cornelia is best friends with the other guardians of Kandrakar and also with Elyon Brown, the Light of Meridian, who is also the Heart of Meridian. Cornelia's little sister Lillian is the Heart of Earth, and is as powerfull as Elyon, but as she is too young to use her powers she gave them to Napoleon, Cornelia's cat, Matt, Will's boyfriend and his pet Mr. Huggles. Cornelia is voiced by Christel Khalil in the TV series.
